Infinite shades of grey

To tell a 300 years company's story is an interesting challenge; that is why when Alberto and Francesca Bufalini asked us to give their new Design business unit a new visual identity, we approached the project strategically, designing an whole new brand ecosystem where all the sub-brands could have a place.

Starting from the main color found in Carrara marble veins (grey) we defined a palette of colors and papers that would hold the brand identity together in consistent, yet different applications, shading from darker greys to lighter ones.

This allowed us to stretch the identity from small applications like business cards or digital signatures, to the crane that welcomes the visitors of the company in Avenza, Carrara.
